The Filmmakers Ink Summer Day Camps in CT, NYC, MA and NM give young filmmakers the opportunity to explore the filmmaking creative process, including script writing, pre-production, filming and editing your own movies at our Film Camp. Our staff of award-winning filmmakers will let you discover by doing as you develop creative and technical skills related to movie-making. Not only will we help you learn to express yourself through film, we’ll give our filmmakers the tools to find inspiration, and provide you with the chance to be part of the growing community of youth filmmakers in Connecticut, Massachusetts New York and New Mexico. From script development to creating lighting design and shot lists, the process of making your own film will build confidence, hone your ability to work as a member of a team, and leave you with a finished film to add to your portfolio. We've got summer camp programs in CT, MA, NM, NY and NYC for Filmmakers Ink, under the leadership of award-winning filmmaker, Patrick McCullough (Sundance Film Festival Screenwriting finalist and Cine Golden Eagle winner), has set itself apart from other Summer and After-School Film Programs through the depth of knowledge and achievement in their staff, who’ve produced award-winning independent films, like Beautiful Kid featuring Pulitzer Prize-Winning author, Frank McCourt, which Variety called, a film with "astonishing integrity." Other working filmmakers will be on hand for instruction, including Joe Hertz, Animation instructor at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, Sabrina Durling-Jones, Documentary Filmmaker and Tim McCullough, crewmember on dozens of major studio films such as JFK, Interview With a Vampire, Ray, Wild Hogs, an upcoming George Clooney film and a bio pic on Georgia O'Keefe.
