Filmmakers Ink Two Week Intensive Filmmaking Camp

Let’s make movies! The first week will focus on screenwriting and storyboarding.  With guidance from the professional filmmakers that make up the Filmmakers Ink staff, each young filmmaker will develop a film script.  Our staff will then guide all of the young filmmakers as they work together as a team to produce films from these scripts with actors from our Acting For Film Program.   Make movies, make friends, make an impact!

Two Week Acting for Film Camp

During the first week, your young actor will perform professional acting exercises designed to help them learn to live truthfully within their scenes, sharpen their listening skills and work improvisationally, They will learn the concentration necessary for good work in film acting, and how to work as a team with other actors and filmmakers.  In the second week, they will act in the films being produced by the Filmmaking Program, gaining plenty of on-camera experience.

One Week Screenwriting Program

Two Week Special FX Filmmaking Program for 8-10 yr olds

Our youngest filmmakers will develop a story and learn to use Special FX to film it.  They’ll learn how to make people walk through walls, appear and disappear and several other in-camera effects as well as computer Visual FX.  At the same time they will also learn camera basics and teamwork.  These young filmmakers will write, shoot, edit and screen their movie for family and friends at their Premiere on the final day of film camp.  Students are encouraged to bring their own video camera, digital tape, and tripod only if they already own them.

 Tuesday-Thursday          June 29th, 30th, July 1st, 6th, 7th, and 8th

1:00pm – 4:00pm

Ages: 8 - 10

Filmmakers Ink offers a University film program experience in a camp setting.  The Filmmakers Ink  Fairfield Summer Film Camp gives its young filmmakers the opportunity to explore the filmmaking creative process, including script writing, pre-production, acting and producing films, and provides them with the skill and confidence to be a part of the growing community of young filmmakers in Connecticut.

Under the leadership of award-winning filmmaker, Patrick McCullough, Filmmakers Ink has set itself apart from other film camps with their attention to storytelling through digital media.
