Filmmakers Ink Summer Film Camp
Two Week Intensive Filmmaking Camp
Make a statement this summer by doing something truly exceptional - create a movie, from script-to-screen! You will gain knowledge in many aspects of filmmaking. The first week of the Filmmakers Ink Intensive Filmmaking Camp will focus on screenwriting, learning how to move the camera for more professional shots, and how to work with actors. With guidance from the professional filmmakers that make up the Filmmakers Ink staff, each young filmmaker will develop a film script. Our staff will then guide all of the young filmmakers as they work together as a team to produce films from these scripts as Directors, Actors, Camera, Lights and Sound. Join us this summer and find your voice through film. Make movies, make friends, make an impact!
Monday - Friday August 2nd - August 13th
Ages: 11 - 14 9:00am – 12:00pm

NOTE: A $15 DVD preparation fee will be collected by the instructor on the first day of the program.

One Week Screenwriting Program
Your young writer will work with a professional filmmaker, learning to develop characters, dialogue and plot to tell visual stories. They will learn solid life-long writing tools for accessing and expressing their best ideas.
M- F August 2nd – August 6th 9:00am – 12:00pm
Ages: 11-14

Two Week Special FX Filmmaking Program for 8-10 yr olds
Our youngest filmmakers will develop a story and learn to use Special FX to film it. They will also learn camera basics and teamwork. These young enthusiasts will write, shoot, edit and screen their movie for family and friends at their Premiere on the final day of film camp. Students are encouraged to bring their own video camera, digital tape, and tripod only if they already own them.

Filmmakers Ink offers a University film program experience in a camp setting. The Filmmakers Ink Farmington summer film program gives its young filmmakers the opportunity to explore the filmmaking creative process, including script writing, pre-production, acting and producing films, and provides them with the skill and confidence to be a part of the growing community of young filmmakers in Connecticut.
Filmmakers Ink programs are designed to give students solid life-long tools with which to access and express their creative ideas.
