Two Week Intensive Filmmaking Program Ages: 11-14

Make a statement this summer by doing something truly exceptional - create a movie, from script-to-screen!  You will gain knowledge in many aspects of filmmaking.  The first week of the Filmmakers Ink Intensive Filmmaking Camp will focus on screenwriting.  With guidance from the professional filmmakers that make up the Filmmakers Ink staff, each young filmmaker will develop a short film script.  Our staff will then guide all of the young filmmakers as they work together as a team to produce films from these scripts as Directors, Actors, Camera, Lights and Sound.  From script development to creating lighting design and shot lists, the process of making films will build confidence, hone the ability to work as a member of a team and leave each young filmmaker with a finished film to add to your portfolio.

Monday - Friday   July 6^th – July 16^th    (No Class on July 5^th)

Ages: 11 - 14   9:00am – 11:30am 

NOTE: Students are grouped by Age and Experience.

Location: Middle School

Cost:  $450 

Tuition includes materials, equipment fee and DVD of the finished films.

Registration will be conducted through Scarsdale Recreation.

Two Week Special FX Filmmaking Program for 8-10 yr olds  Our youngest filmmakers will develop a story and learn to use Special FX to film it.  They will also learn camera basics and teamwork.  These young movie-makers will write, shoot, edit and screen their movie for family and friends at their Premiere on the final day of film camp.  Students are encouraged to bring their own video camera, digital tape, and tripod, only if they already own them.

Ages: 8 - 10   9:00am – 11:30am

Cost: $375

Filmmakers Ink offers a University film program experience in a camp setting.  The Filmmakers Ink Summer Film Camp gives its young filmmakers the opportunity to explore the filmmaking creative process, including script writing, pre-production, acting and producing films, and provides them with the skill and confidence to be a part of the growing community of young filmmakers in Westchester.

Filmmakers Ink programs are designed to give students solid life-long tools with which to access and express their creative ideas.
